Motions to make rule changes
Failed - motion to not allow changes in locations or dates to the tournament schedule once the season has started
Failed - motion to change to a three fish per boat weig-in limit
Passed - motion to extend the end of season classic tournament to eight hours
Failed - motion to extend all regular season tournaments to eight hours
Passed - motion to award club jackets to the winners of the end of the season classic tournament; winners have choice of jackets or money equal to cost of jackets, plus winner portion of classic pot; classic pot, minus the cost of two jackets, is distributed proportionately among everyone that catches fish in the end of season event (classic). Example of proportionate distribution: Total club catch during classic event equals 10 pounds or 160 ounces; if the winning team catches 5 pounds or 80 ounces, they receive 50% of the classic pot (after deducting cost of jackets) plus club jackets or money equal to cost of jackets; if the second place team catches 2 pounds or 32 ounces, they receive 20% of the classic pot (after deducting the cost of jackets); each team that weighs a legal bass receives a proportionate share of the classic pot.
Passed - motion requiring live well checks done prior to each tournament start; check to be routinely done by assistant tournament director; in the absence of the assistance tournament director, live well checks to be done by the non-boater with the first take-off position. In the event a team is late for take off, they need to find any club member to check live wells before they begin to catch fish.
Friday night tournaments - Kevin Wilder will present a one page proposal for club review and vote at the February 12th, 2007 meeting.
